That day we went to the beach with my oldest friend Robin and her son Hayden. It was so much fun spending time with them. Reese has always been pretty afraid of the beach. She kept thinking the sea creatures would "get her." When I went towards her she tried to run from me, throwing sand at one point and screamed "I don't trust you!" But I scooped her up and took her out in the waves. After about two waves hitting us she decided this was fun and after that was hooked on the water. I don't think I had ever seen Galveston so clear either. The water was almost blue-ALMOST!!!! HA! The sand wasn't as nasty I was used to either. There was seaweed but whatever. The part of the beach we were on was almost empty too, which means less seagulls and less trash. So nice!

We then got cleaned up and went to the pool again. After a few hours we cleaned up and went to rain forest cafe. Saige fell asleep in no time on the car ride. She was so tired. Poor thing!

The girls have a love/hate relationship with this place. They are ok being there as long as they don't have to get up and walk past the animals. As long as they are seated and can watch from a far then everything is peachy.
We also rode the ride they have and loved it. Saige had a death grip on me and Aaron during the ride but they both loved it! (Saige was a little scared in the first shot but was smiling away in the second!!)

Later that night we went looking for crabs. There were some really really tiny ones in the parking garage and Aaron picked one up and Reese had a fit. She told him to leave that poor little thing alone! I've trained her well folks! :) But then we went over to the beach to look for them. There were some REALLY big ones and they were everywhere. It was so fun watching the girls chase them with the lights. We also could see a lot of pretty stars. It was heaven...but probably not for those crabs. HA!
