Go Me

Ok this one isn't about Saige or Reese but about me. I'm fat :) I need to lose weight and this morning I woke up and decided to start trying. I got all my weigh watchers stuff out and weighed myself using the wei fit. I've lost 8.2 lbs since June and I've been eating like a horse. Seriously! I bet if I actually watched what I ate I'd lose all my weight. Right now I want to lose another 17 lbs and my long term goal is 30. So next time you see my about to pig out on something bad ask me how my diets going. haha

Who needs Mothers Day Out?

Well last week when I took Reese to school and saw the tv going for the second week I was mad. I'm not paying for her to go there and watch tv. We can do that at home haha!!
I asked the teachers about it and did not care for their short answer so Reese no longer goes there. Shes still little and we'll do something next year. But until then we're doing lots of learning and crafts at home. Heres her finger painting pumpkin and her hand/finger print tree. Tomorrow we're making a fall wreath. Fun stuff!!

Thank You Mommy

Whenever Reese does something she likes or gets something special she'll say "thank you mommy" all by herself. Isn't that sweet :)

We were painting and she was enjoying it so much and randomly said "oh mommy thank you".

Saige

Scoot'n

Saige has now perfected the roll and scoot move to get something she wants. Is that normal? Shes not crawling or anything close but she will roll and pull her knee up like she wants to crawl and scoot towards an object. She is almost sitting up too. I can let go for a few seconds (15?) before she falls over. I think she might move faster than Reese did!

Attack of the...

FLIES!!!!!!!!!!

Poor Reese is so scared of flies. This evening I was putting Saige to bed and Aaron was working so I could watch Reese every second. I heard her in the kitchen crying and expected her to come in the bedroom but she didn't. I quickly put Saige down (saying a quick prayer that she wouldn't wake up) and went to find Reese crying in a corner alone saying "fly bite knee". I'm guessing a fly buzzed near her leg/knee and scared her silly :(

Gymboree Party

We had Reese's party today and it was lots of fun. We had all of our friends and family there which was great. She loves gymboree so it was the perfect place and all the kiddos got to play too :) The gymboree teacher was WAY too much for me but I think????? the kids liked her. She got a little annoying but oh well. Heres some pictures from the party.

Happy Birthday Baby Reese

Today my baby is two years old. I just got a lump in my throat thinking about it LOL

I'll never forget the cry that came out of her in the OR. Aaron and I were so happy but she was the loudest thing I've ever heard. When they laid her on my chest she stopped crying right away. She knew I was her mama (ok now I'm crying haha)

The last two years have been simply wonderful. I can't explain the joy I get from being a mommy. Shes the best thing in the whole wide world.




OK I'll stop being a sap and get to our fun day!

We started the morning with breakfast and presents with daddy since he was going to be gone all day long :( She got a new elmo table, 2 barney dvds, a bake set, and a barney doll.

We then went to feed the ducks with our neighbors Suzanne, Reagan, and Ryan. Reese feel off the slide and landed face first and had a mouth full of mulch. She was ok though but it was my fault sincce I wasn't paying attention to her at all. OOPS

Then we headed home for pizza and a nap. Then she woke up and our other neighbor Shelly and Bradley stopped by and gave us a special barney card. Then Mo Mo (grandma) came by and gave her some balloons and a special doll and a HAND MADE baby bed. Then we went to Luby's and Petsmart to buy her a fish. Its a red beta-with no name :) We finished our day with some yummy cookie cake. Reese calls it a quickie cake :) It was a great day.

Tomorrow is her party!! That should be LOTS of fun.

Think she's ready?

Reese walked up to me this morning and said "here" with a diaper in her hand and then said "poo poo". I think she's ready to be potty trained. She's been showing signs since 18mths but with Saige about to be here -and then getting here we haven't even tried. Maybe I will this weekend.

I really really really really don't want to potty train.

Mo Mo

Thats what Reese calls my mom. It was suppose to be grandma but Mo Mo is much cuter. Mo Mo comes every Saturday morning bright and early armed with breakfast. I know she really comes to see the girls but it has been the biggest help to me. I can get some one on one time with Reese, go to the store with one or none of the girls :), take a LONG bath, or just rest. Saige responds well to her so many times shes rocking Saige for me. She def. makes my weeks brighter and easier. Reese REALLY loves her coming too! They do all sorts of fun things outside. One morning I caught them holding a frog (YUCK)!!

Reading

Sometimes in the morning Reese likes to read books. I layed Saige down next to her and walked out of the room and this is what I came back to...Can they be any cuter?





Saige has her very first cold. Its not any fun because she isn't sleeping and is super fussy with lots and lots and snot. YUCK!
And today she is four months old. I can't believe shes already 4 mths?!?!

Where's Her Diaper???

I went to wake Reese up for school this morning and this is what I saw! She had taken her diaper off and was asleep like this. Of course she wet the bed and herself so we had to take a quick bath too.



And today at school was much harder. She did great until I went to kiss her good bye. She started screaming and crying and that was hard for ME! I keep wondering if I'm doing the right thing by sending her this early. She DID have fun today though so I think she'll get use to it. She didn't nap today and so she was asleep by 645 this evening.

Secret to sleeping longer?

Three times in the last week Saige has slept for 6-7 hour stretches. Nothing has really changed from our routine except that Aaron has patted her to sleep instead of me rocking her and laying her down asleep. So I think tonight we will experiment with that and see if she sleeps longer again. I wonder if thats the secret to her sleeping longer. Hmmmm I'll keep ya posted :)

Growing up

Saige will be 4 mths on Sunday. Shes getting so big and we love her so much.

Things around here...

Things around here have been good. Its been busy though and I have a hard time updating. Last night Saige only woke up ONE TIME! HELLO people that is big news. I almost didn't know what to do with myself.

Tonight was interesting. Aaron had to work late which is scary to me because he helps me put the girls to bed. On a normal night it takes Saige almost 2 hours to go to sleep so during that time he's tending to Reese (bath, pjs etc) so without him is SCARY. Well I bathed both at the same time and got both girls to bed by 730. I couldn't believe Saige was sleeping and I could read books, prayers etc with Reese. It felt good. Then I rewarded myself with a walk with my friend Shelly.
