Car Crying

Saige HATES the car. She screams every time shes in it for longer than 5 min. She won't take a paci, doesn't care about the toy thats in it, music, singing nothing works. Well I heard that putting them in a bigger carseat sometimes works because they are more comfortable so we thought we'd give it a try. We bought a britax and said a prayer and took off...and what did we hear SCREAMING :) I guess she just hates the car. Sigh...ear plugs might be next?

Mothers Day Out

Well little Reesie is off at school! I documented her morning :) She woke up and had waffles, fruit and cheese. She kept saying "no cool (school) Cry" So needless to say, I was more than concerned. But she pulled her little barney backpack up into the school. On the way we saw Erica and Emma and Reese went right in Emma's class. We finally made our way into her room and she went right in and got busy playing. She was so busy she wouldn't even look up for a picture. We gave her a quick kiss and said good bye before she cried. I made Erica peek in on her and she was a little teary eyed but not crying like the others were. I think her room may of been the loudest with all the little criers. Heres a few pictures from our morning. I'll update how the rest of her day goes.


UPDATE:
She did GREAT!!!! She didn't cry when I picked her up. She was walking around the room proudly and even hugged her teachers bye. They said she napped...which I serioiusly canNOT believe. So this school thing is going to be good :)

Sleeping Beauty

Well Saige slept like a queen last night. Aaron patted her down for me because Reese was having a melt down that only mommy could fix. She was sound asleep by 7:30 and slept until 2:30...HELLO thats 7 hours!!!! I couldn't believe it. I went in to check to see if she was breathing and she was fine. She woke up later at 5:00 and again at 7.

I sure hope we are going to start this as a new trend. I think I'm going to make Daddy start patting her down. Maybe thats the key :)

Future Breastfeeder

Or pumper anyway! Reese saw me pumping the other day and wanted to be just like mommy. For some reason she doesn't nurse her babies though. I thought for sure she would since she was nursed for so long AND I nurse Saige all the time.

The long awaited Barney backpack has arrived. I "won" this on ebay. She has to have a backpack for mothers day out. She starts on Thursday (gulp) Reese was so excited to see BaBa (Barney) on her backpack.

Book Worm

Reese has always enjoyed books. When she was tiny I read to her all the time. Brown Bear Brown Bear was and still is a favorite. When she was about 8-12mths ALL she wanted to do was look at books. I mean ALL. DAY. LONG. Now at almost 2 she likes to read to herself.

Saige

Well Saige is almost 4 months old and has changed a lot. She will now nap and sleep on occasion. (YAY!) She also is "talking" all the time now. I have to watch whats in front of me because she is getting better every day at grabbing objects. Saige will also now sit and play in her exersaucer, bouncy seat, floor etc. I even got to clean the house the other day. She constantly has a little spit bubble on her mouth. Its so funny.

Unexpected Shot Today

I'm not a happy camper today. We dropped off Reese's health form to our pedi's office Monday so they can fill out her shot record. They faxed it to her little school and I get a call late yesterday evening that shes missing the chicken pox shot. I assumed it was a mistake on the pedi's part so I call them and sure enough the nurse tells me she never had it. She said they "FORGOT" to give it to her. How do you forget? I'm going to have to take her and Saige in the RAIN to go get a stupid shot. I still don't understand why the chicken pox shot is something they "need" anyway. Poor Reese :(

Look Out American Idol

Reese sings all the time now. She tries to sing all the Barney songs and the songs in the car. Her favorite is below. You can hear her little voice in the back saying "I love YOU (THAT PART LOUD). She calls the song "A Moon". Its totally the best thing ever. Its one of those mom moments that you want to hold on to for forever.

We went to Portrait Innovations for pictures. I was a little nervous since Reese likes to run away from me now but it went really well. Saige wasn't as "smiley" as we'd hoped but here they are.

Children's Museum Fun

We love going to the children's museum downtown. We even got a membership! Reese's favorite place is the Tot spot and we found some fun new things to do too. When we drive over there now Reese says "Pay Mama Pay" (for play mama play) She already knows that we are going to play and have fun. After the museum we always go to Pappas for lunch. Reese is so smart because when we pull up to the restaurant she says "Caca Work".

Sweet Little Saige

Saige is so sweet. She is 3 months old and starting to get her personality. She is so serious though and likes to observe and take it all in.

Baths are a blast here. Saige likes to kick as much water out of the bath tub as possible. The floor and my pants usually end up soaked.

She has been sleeping in her crib at night. (YAY)She goes down easier and easier each night. She seems to wake up about 2 times to nurse but sleeps so much better. We just need to figure naps out and then we'll be good. She has started kicking her legs and trying to scoot around in her bed. She'll be moving before too long!!

Caca Work

Today while trying to cook dinner Saige started to cry. Reese quickly went over to her and said "its ok! Its ok Caca work" over and over. Reese calls her daddy Caca and we don't know why! Saige stopped crying and began to coo and laugh at Reese. It was such a sweet moment.
