Easter Egg Hunt #1

We were invited to an Easter party from a sweet friend from Reese's old preschool. They are so thoughtful to always include Saige as well. When we arrived we dumped our eggs (empty) into the yard. The girls go to go "wild" and get as many eggs as they could find...or put in their buckets. It was fun because so often you can only pick 12 or a certain number. They have to stop. But today we got to get a bunch.
We went inside to count our eggs and there was a prize for things like "most eggs, smallest egg, gold egg...etc" everyone got to win a prize for something. My kids thought this was pretty neat!!
We then went outside to go some crafting. We had stickers, glitter glue and a foam egg. Reese made the biggest mess with the glitter glue but possibly had the most fun with it.
Then we had lunch. No detail was left undone. We had bunny crackers, egg shaped jello and chicken cut cheese. Kristy and Katie out did themselve. The moms had cucumber sandwhich and chicken salad. yum!! There were table decorations, a candy bar and carrot shaped sugar cookies.
THEN, as if all of this wasn't enough, we got a goodie bag egg. Inside was a few pieces of candy and other trinkets but best of all was a book about the first Easter!
It was such a sweet special girly day! Fun fun!!!!!

Spring time!

A few kids stopped by to play and while they were here I took advantage and made a few things. Oatmeal, blueberry muffins and strawberries dipped in yogurt and frozen. I also made a crockpot chicken taco dish. Thank you pinterest!
We then got busy making spring cookies. The kids loved playing in the dough and flour.
Although when the cookies flatten out. You couldn't tell a butterfly from an egg :( But they tasted good! Lots of sprinkles and icing. Fun!!
The after...
We also took off to Lowe's (and this is how my sweet girls went!) Daddy had a photo session while I looked at bushes.
Our yard is such a sad mess. We need to rent a sod cutter to remove the gross grass and replace it with nice grass. I have one tiny corner that I planted something in. Two years ago the hard freeze killed it, last year the drought killed some of it. If these bushes don't grow I'm giving up. But here is what I did. My tiny planting job. :)
Happy Spring :)

March part two

Early this month our community group did a study called 40 days in the word. We were challenaged in the study to find a way to serve God by serving others. We chose to help Cypress Assistance Minstry. We sorted food and we were blessed to do this with ALL of our sweet children. Our favorite part was hearing Jace pray for us at the end.
How sweet is this kitchen helper!
Saige is in heaven here. We were lucky enough to babysit a sweet neighbors kiddos. Saige didn't leave her side the entire time.
I found a solution to my bird problem. (Every spring these birds come to my house, build a nest, and poop ALL over my porch) Who knew...a birthday balloon made them go away. YAY!!!!
This is Saige getting ready for ballet.
This is sweet Reese holding a doodle bug on her field trip. Lots of fun.
I was outside enjoying a nearly perfect day reading when my two girls decided to "rest" outside with me.
We lay with our girls at night. I just love watching them sleep.
One of Saige's favorite new things to do, Puzzles!!

March is almost OVER!

Woah, another month is almost gone. Life with two preschoolers is pretty busy. I've been subbing at the girls preschool so my "down time" is a little less lately. So a quick update. I started reading Reese a chapter book. I chose Charollet's Web. It is SO sweet...so far.
Reese got to take home "Tommy" home. He is the class bear they made at their last field trip. She was over the moon excited to take him with us. He went on a bike ride, dinner out and ice cream after (lucky bear), two parties and over course honey. There are a ton of boys in her class so this bear got the total girl treatment of strollers, clothing changes etc. fun fun! After she got to write about his journey with us in a class journal. She drew a really nice picture of Tommy.
On that same bike ride Saige threw about 10 fits. I decided it was picture worthy. Nothing was wrong. She would peddle, stop, get mad that we didn't and scream her head off. :) Life with a three year olds.
We had a sweet friends birthday. Saige and Lilah are big time buddies. They love to play babies and both have such sweet strong personalities. :) They play a game called "hey girl" that is beyond funny to witness. It was Lilah's Olivia birthday at the park. Later I got to go to a sweet friends baby shower. I've know these girls since jr high. It's so fun to see all their kids and still keep in touch with friends allllll these years later. And the last photo is of sweet Saige. She fell asleep sitting on her daddy's lap. Sweet girl was partied out!
This is what we call the towel burrito. :) We roll them right up and walk them to their room after pj's. And just being silly!!!
There's a bit more but i'll do that in another post :)
