Trick or Treat

We had a fun night. We went to our neighbors house for a little Halloween dinner with all the kids (and Aaron) all dressed up. We had hot dogs and lots of other good stuff. Then Aunt KK came over to house sit while we took Reese trick or treating on our street. She thought it was so neat to knock on the door and get candy. She kept jumping up and down and saying "cany". We only hit about 10 houses but it was fun. She was the cutest pumpkin if I do say so myself. LOL!

FUN!

We got the girls all dressed up and went to take pictures at this little church that had pumpkins all set up. I forgot my memory card so I didn't get to take many (only 6-horrible) but my friend took some for me with her fancy camera so I'm going to get those later.

Reese thought it was super cool. Saige did great too but fell over on a pumpkin and now has a little red swollen eye-OOPS!

Our first Pumpkin

We carved our first pumpkin with Reese. The whole time she screamed "Ewwwwww Yucky" and wanted no part of it. Saige sat outside with us and had some oh so yummy carrots :) Heres a few shots from our little evening.

I spoke with Dr. Pielop and he said we still have time to wait. He also called the GI person at Texas Childrens and they agreed. We're hoping she poops it out soon and if not we'll go for X rays on Monday.

Hair Clip

I suppose this is blog worthy.

I was sitting in my room watching tv while both girls were napping. I heard this strange noise coming from one of their rooms. I assumed it was Saige because she always wakes up from her naps too early. As I got closer to the room I could tell it was Reese. I went in and she was standing in her crib and not breathing well. She had slobber all over her and was gagging and making lots more horrible noises. I didn't really know what was going on. Was she going to throw up? Was she choking? I could tell she was getting air but not a lot. I bent her over and pounded her back but nothing came up. Eventually whatever she was choking on went down.

I took her to my bed and we layed down and talked. I said "Reese did you put something in your mouth?" and she replied with "A bow". A bow is what we call ALL hair objects. I remembered putting a green metal hair clip in her hair earlier that day and of course I forgot to take it out. I never forget :(

Well I searched high and low for it hoping that she hadn't REALLY swallowed a metal hair clip. I asked her again where her bow was and she replied "A mouth".

Great! So I call the dr and he told me to make sure she can eat solid foods, isn't having any pains, and to just wait it out. So I'm waiting...feeling horrible. If she hasn't pooped by today at 3 I'm suppose to call him and see what to do next.

On a funny note I asked her later if she ate her bow and she made a choking noise and said "all gone". hahaha

Saige is LOVING trying new foods. She can't get another and cries when she spoon leaves her mouth.

Gymnastics here we come!!

We are all signed up for a Mommy and Me gymnastics class. Reese LOVED being there and was so into doing flips, jumping etc. I'll try and post a picture of her in her little leotard.

Toys to bed?

Reese likes to take different things to bed every night. Some nights its just a book, other nights its more. This particular night it was her monkey, a book, a baby, her pumpkin, and she wore her shoes to bed (doesn't that seem uncomfortable????) Shes super silly.

First Bites

Saige got to eat oatmeal mixed with banana's last night. She loved it. She kept grabbing at the spoon for more. She didn't spit any out and ate every bite.
