Zoo with my sweet girl
I had another one of those MY BABY IS GOING TO KINDERGARTEN SOON and these "lazy" days of preschool are going to be a thing of the past. We through caution (or our schedule) to the wind and headed for the zoo. It was a WINDY COLD COLD, did I mention WINDY day?? But so much fun! We had pizza for lunch, shared a cookie, saw lots of animals, pet an armadillo, rode the train and carousal. Saige and Lilah were so good and it was so much fun hanging out with these sweet girls. I'm planning on a lot more fun little dates with my crazy, fun four year old. I'm not ready to have TWO in school :( Time really does go by so fast! Love this silly girl!!
First (or first four!) Loose tooth
I took the girls for their normal regular dentist visit. Reese had her first loose tooth, which she was so excited about. We have been wiggling and wiggling that tiny tooth but it wouldn't come out. She had her big teeth coming in behind it giving her teeth a "shark" look. The dentist looked at her teeth and said, (long story short) that her big teeth coming in were, well, big and her mouth was small so to make room he would need to PULL FOUR TEETH!! Say what?!??!?!?!!
We went ahead to the front to make an appointment and she said she had a 9:30 THAT SAME DAY! So we went with it. Reese was SUPER excited about it at first but when we came back an hour later she was nervous and rightfully so :) We pumped her full of "happy gas" and she calmed down. She was giggling and so cute. She did GREAT!! I couldn't even watch. It was so freaky seeing the tools. But after he was done she clapped her hands and said "no teeth no teeth" in a sing songy voice. SO CUTE!!
We put her teeth under the pillow and she got some money from the tooth fairy. She was pretty excited about losing so many teeth at once. Hopefully her other teeth will just fall out the old school way!
Seeing Santa, Nutcracker, Neighborhood Fun!
We went to the mall to see Santa. I literally looked at every store you could think of for Christmas dresses. I was being abnormally picky. I wanted something fun, not TOOOOO christmasy, matching but not exact. Picky right? We went into one last store and I found it. It was literally an all day event.
Last year we went to Bass Pro Shop and got the free Santa picture. It was great but it wasn't as good as my previous years. And these Santa pictures were something I have started to treasure. I think I almost cried looking at the "early" years of a couple. Total Sap! But it's amazing how fast life just flies by. So I decided to throw down 25.00 or whatever they cost for a good picture so in ten years I'll look back and cry. ha!
We got up very early and beat the crowd at the mall. Aaron always thinks I'm crazy trying to do it so early but when we beat the line and got out of the mall before a big rush he knew I was smart. The Santa picture was an amazing success this year! Not only did my girls look super sweet, Saige smiled. No crying this year. Bless her heart! I think she even told him what she wanted. Such progress! Only took us three years :)
Reese joined girl scouts this year and she was invited to attend a small performance of the Nutcracker. It was a child friendly performance and the kids got to meet the actors, which was a big hit for everyone. Reese really enjoyed watching the dancers and I enjoyed being with my sweet girl one on one.
And we finished off our weekend with a neighborhood Christmas Party. Our neighborhood always does a big Christmas celebration with games, Santa, Christmas light ride, treats and games. We have never been able to make it but this year we could. It was fun. We are thankful we live in such a fun neighborhood.

December 2012
I caught Reese reading by the tree after school one day. How cute is she? Love her!!
Reese drew this picture of Jesus. I love it. It's now framed in our playroom.
This is a play-dough "sculpture" she made at my sister's. It's Santa on a sleigh with a reindeer. The red lines is the red nose glowing :) Creative right???
We took the kids to the new Houston Zoo Lights. It was great. Reese got to be on tv. Saige could have but opted out. She got to talk and everything. She wasn't even nervous. Hilarious. It was a fun night. The hot cocoa was Saige's favorite.
Saige's school went to their annual preschool field trip to the christmas tree farm. This is her sweet class.
Santa's Wonderland was another fun place we visited during Christmas. It was GREAT!! Lots of beautiful lights, very very cold night and great family time. Reese and Saige both rode a mechanical bull, ate fudge and hot chocolate, we walked around the little village. The girls got to sing with the band. It was a blast. I was so thankful we got this time as a family. It made my heart full.
Doesn't this picture just sum up my girls? I love it.
Texas girls!
The girls helped me wrap gifts. This is maybe my least favorite thing ever and they made it a happier thing. I opted not to cover up this sweet writing with nicer labels. :) I looked at all the gifts and said "oh I don't like this" and Reese said "well you are going to have to do it every year so you better just get happy" Great advice :)
