Thankful Tree

Today was a nice cool day. WONDERFUL!!! I was in the best mood due to the weather alone. I put on a long sleeve shirt, drank the best coffee ever (Thanks to HEB's free sample), made chicken and dumplings and felt like getting into some Thanksgiving crafts. So we're making a "thankful tree".

I stole the idea off of Erica's blog from last thanksgiving. We painted a poster board brown and I did my best to cut it out like a tree.

Then I put a bible verse on it. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Psaml 107:1I want the girls to remember that the Lord provides everything for us and He is the One we're giving thanks to. We read a short simple book about Thanksgiving and then we each thought of one thing we were thankful for and I wrote it on our leaves and placed them on the tree.

I put the tree near the breakfast table in hopes that we'll remember at dinner to do our leaves as we're praying over our food. Here's our tree now. I hope to show another picture of it with lots of colorful thanksgiving leaves.
