Reese and Saige's Christmas

I was bad about not taking better pictures but heres some.

We went to my dads house christmas eve. Saige is usually in bed by 7 so this was a late night for her. She did great! She got a little fussy at one point so I put her the carrier on my chest and she slept like a champ. She was just perfect there and I'm so glad we didn't have a fussy screaming baby on our hands.

Reese was really excited about the presents. We got there early so my dad and donna could see them before the crew all showed up. Reese kept saying "lets play" over and over and over and over and it got old so we let her open a present early. She was more than thrilled with her EEO (she calls farms EEO from EIEIO (the song)) Anytime poor Saige got near it Reese would scream MINE MINE!! haha

Heres some pictures from christmas eve.

Christmas Morning...
Santa brought lots of goodies. Reese was most excited about her new baby. Saige loved the mirror thing we got her.

more to come later...

Merry Christmas

Luke 2:1-20 (New International Version)

Luke 2
The Birth of Jesus
1In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2(This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3And everyone went to his own town to register.
4So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

The Shepherds and the Angels
8And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ[a] the Lord. 12This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."
13Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14"Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."

15When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."

16So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

Table Foods

Bye Bye baby food :)

Tonight Saige ate meatloaf, carrots and blueberries. She did great! I think I'm going to slowly stop buying baby food and start doing more and more table foods. It was so strange not feeding her. She loves "real" foods.

Its only just begun

Whatever Reese is doing Saige now wants. She crawls over to Reese and tries to take everything out of her hands, Reese then gets mad and whines and screams. Oh joy!!! Reese is really good though and tries to get Saige a new toy and tries to play with her but of course at 7 mths Saige doesn't understand and just grabs all of poor Reeses toys.
On the flip side I think Saige might like Reese more than me. Her face lights up with pure joy and excitement when she sees her big sister.

Painting

We took all the kids to an art place and let them paint. I also got some handprint plates made for myself. I hope they turn out :)
We then went to McDonalds and to a park for lunch. On the way home Reese said "Really Fun Park! Really Fun Paint"

Breakfsat with Santa

We went to breakfast with Santa at the golf club in our neighborhood. It was so nice. There was face painting, cookie decorating, making reindeer food, and sitting on Santas lap. They even gave each child a little toy. Our friends Kellie and Nathan met us there and Reese wanted to show Nathan how to sit on Santas lap.
Heres a few shots :)
