Field Trip-Build a bear
Reese has a field trip with her class at school. They went to build a bear at the mall. They made a class bear named Tommy. They dressed him, had lunch in the food court and got a cookie. They were suppose to go to a local park for a picnic and play but it POURED all day long so we opted for the kid playground. The kids enjoyed the day. Eventually "Tommy" is suppose to come home with each child for some weekend fun. We are to write about his adventures in a journal. Reese is still waiting for her turn.
Bike rider
Aaron is riding in the MS 150 coming in a few months. He has worked really hard. There is so much that has to go into the ride. You have to get a decent bike. We started with an academy bike but it wasn't cutting it so we returned it (thank God they let us) and got a more expensive, better bike. Aaron was much happier with that. THen there is rain gear, cold gear, etc. He rides a lot and has training rides every weekend. We have gone to one, another was rained out much to our disappointment (they were going to have puppies at it! Not sure why but hey, we love dogs!) He has another one coming up and then the real deal! All this riding has really strengthened his friendships with the guys in our group. But in addition to the training he has to raise money. This made me a little nervous because no one likes to ask others for money. But Aaron has done really well. He is suppose to raise 400 and is already at 600 with a few months to go. He has guest from the restaurant, servers, friends and family all giving their support. Awesome.
Here are a few photo's from a race he did.
We can't wait until he crosses the finish line of 150 miles!!!! So proud of you Aaron/Daddy!
My artist
Reese loves to color, draw, and create things. If she is ever bored she just pulls out paper, coloring books, crayons and gets busy. A while back she made a pretty cool reindeer out of construction paper and glue sticks. She was trying to re-create her masterpiece this day. When it wasn't turning out like she wanted she sighed big, pushed her paper away and said "this isn't turning out like I hoped." She sounded so grown up and frustrated. It was both cute and a little sad. We put our things away and moved on to something else.
Another day Reese and I were working on self portrait's. This was her first attempt. She was pretty proud but did comment that her neck was a little long. She made three more before she got it like she wanted. Perfectionist??
I really need to start framing some of her art. She is so good (or at least I think so...Moms ARE SUPPOSE to be the biggest fan!)
February
Another month gone. Poof. Times goes SO fast. I need a "pause" button every now and then. This month we have gone to birthday parties
Aaron and I went to Fredricksburg with some friends and had a lovely time. I only regret not taking MORE pictures.
Reese and Saige spent some time with my mom "Momo". I got sweet picture of them at a tearoom having a tea party and came home to find their nails painted.
We have some sickness here and there that has been SO annoying. I had 102 and Reese has been sick too. Aaron took good care of us and played with the girls. He was a true champ.
Him and the girls having a mud fight. :)
Here are some random pictures from my phone lately!

I love my family!
Aaron is training for the MS 150. He rides his bike a lot lately but recently he road (in strong winds) for 50+ miles. He did great and we are very proud!
Saige can write her name, now colors with her sister a lot, and actually SITS for a tv show. She loves Olivia! It's very cute!
Reese is doing great too. She still pretends A LOT with animals mostly. She has such a vivid imagination and uses it a lot. She colors and draws all the time. Reese can also do a pretty good cart wheel. She lands it and everything. :) I ordered some books (similar to what was in our reading library at school) to start working with reading. She is also very excited about kindergarten. I can't get over how grown up she is. I'm sure i'll keep saying that over and over!
catch up...
December and January have been a blur. I looked at my phone and realized I left a few things out.
We had a little sleep over. Our first one. I bought pizza, cookies, snacks. The girls played Just Dance and had fun. The girls had a BLAST!!
The big girls slept in Reese's room and the little's slept with me and poor Aaron was on the couch. Aren't they sweet?!
This was a funny picture of Reese. She is such a little star! She loves performing. Her Papaw said school plays may be in her future and I think he could be right. LOL!
I recently added a few things to the girls rooms.

It has begun...
We were sitting on the couch watching American Idol with the girls. We have never watched this show with them. It was really fun sitting with the girls watching a show we could actually watch. I kept hoping nothing bad would pop up and so far so good. Reese was SO into the show, almost in a daze staring at each person. She would clap when the made the cut too. One younger boy comes on. I suppose he was 15 since you have to be but looked young. She hadn't said a word in a while and all the sudden pipes up with "He is very handsome and I think I'd like to marry him."
So, it has begun. I think I may cry.
