Christmas Tree farm

Reese's preschool class went to a christmas tree farm in early December. The weather was great for a Christmasy event...nice and COLD! We got to go on a hayride to look at all the trees, drink hot cocoa, have a cookie, play in a maze and some hay. Lots of fun was had by all the kiddos!I really enjoyed our little day together one on one. Reese and I don't get it often and with kindergarten fast approaching I can use some Reesie time!
Here are a few pictures...

The girls preschool does an art project as a fundraiser. They each made a picture and you can choose an item to have it put on. I did two coffee mugs for myself and man, I wish I had done a few gifts for grandma's (sorry guys! ) epic fail! They are so sweet!!! I'm becoming old too because I really love my coffee mugs with the girls pictures and now artwork! Such a treasure!

Here is the girls with their big picture ( each has a bible verse too).

And here is the finished project.

Love!

Speaking of precious, here is Reese's preschool picture. I did not buy theses but cheated and took a picture of the picture. Um, I'm sorry but where did this grown up girl come from? :) isn't she sweet though! Love her so!

Here is one of the latest Reese drawings-free hand.

And here is a sweet moment I caught of Aaron and Saige. It's rare for me to be home and she will let her daddy put her to bed.

And one of the dogs- for old time's sake!

2011 ornaments

A few years ago I started taking the girls to the store to pick out their own ornaments. This year Saige picked a pink rooster!!! I let her pick one more because she loved it so, a pink glittery ornament.

Reese picked a cat in high heels, complete with eye lashes and a bow! Her second ornament was a gymnastics girl, since she is doing that this year.

The girls never seem to want the santa's or snowmen. Love the uniqueness of their choice.

Ready!

We are so ready for this christmas season to begin! The tree is up.

The lights are up- thanks to me (my mom helped a little). This is a first for us. One neighbor called it a Christmas miracle!

I made a wreath thanks to pinterest!

Saige mentioned a while back that she wanted a "fancy dress" for Christmas this year. I decided to just do it. It's not my style but who cares right? So we went to target and I let them pick. Reese picked a beautiful black and red dress. Perfect for Christmas. Saige picked a purple, pouffy dress. Purple? They won't match or even coordinate for the first time ever at Christmas. Trying to remember this is about them and their own style, not me. Can't wait til they can wear them somewhere.

Best part of all is I am finished with all my shopping before December 1st!

It's hard being three

Since Saige has started preschool at the new school that goes until 2pm we have bagged naps. Some days if we are home she will get one but a lot of days she doesn't. We have been super busy lately and it doesn't always happen. If we are out and about I'll drive around if she falls asleep. If we are home and she's grumpy I'll give her one too. But a lot of time I put her down and she won't GO down. She plays in her bed, changes clothes (aka takes a zillion things out of her closet) but doesn't sleep. But lately if she doesn't nap she will get GRUMPY and throw a pretty good fit and then falls asleep in the middle of her fit...

Bless her heart!

November

Oh man, this month is flying by...

Aaron took the girls to Disney on ice

Saige had another visit to the dentist to check her tooth. I really felt that the tooth was getting better, as in moving down some but e dentist squashed my hopes :) She said the tooth is in the same spot but since the swelling has gone down that it just looks better. We are still in the waiting phase. We go back in one month to see if it has moved any.

The girls had a thanksgiving feast at school. I skipped it this year for bible study and feel very guilty even though all they did was eat a special lunch...no songs, play etc. But I made them pose for a picture at home. Aren't they sweet!

Aaron's dad retired from his job and there was a party at his office in his honor. Every person that worked for him or with him spoke so highly of him. What an honor! He is such a Godly man and it shows! Here are all the cousins enjoying some cake!

We also got to celebrate my moms birthday! I made enchiladas and Kara brought cupcakes from somewhere fancy!

Then there was my dads birthday at the Old Spaghetti Warehouse...yum! We hadn't seen my dad since reese's birthday and we all missed them terribly!

We also hosted a Murder Mystery party with our community group from church. We made the house look like a reunion and had a blast! We were lucky enough to get some very cool lights from a friend so we looked professional! Everyone came in costume too!

The girls had a dance party the following day...

Family photos

We had family pictures taken. It was cold and the session was fast but I think they turned out lovely!
