Funny things we hear now

A few days ago I was sitting with Saige and I said something (I honestly don't remember) but she looked at me and said "stop it you dirty boy" ahaha. NO clue where that came from!

Today we watched a friends son. Hes 2 and for some reason Saige had her diaper off. She was wearing a dress so I didn't know. Andrew tried to lift her dress up and Saige said "NO Andrew, Don't look at my butt" hahahaha

She said it with such force!

Then again later today my friend was telling me about diaper rash cream etc. She told me to mix a few things together and one was petroleum jelly. Later we were changing Saige's diaper and the poor thing said "my butt hurts" (she always has a stupid rash!) and Reese said "deanna said to get some jelly for her. I'll get you some mom."

She SOOO thought we were going to put grape jelly on Saige's bottom.

(and I think I need to teach Saige to say bottom or tushy or something besides butt! LOL)

Lion

I can't remember if I have talked about Reese's lion (or just big cat obsession?) She loves them. She plays lions, roars, crawls, licks us and now draws them :)

One funny though... She wanted to play lions and I got sick of the normal crawling around and roaring so I said lets play Daniel and the lions den. She said ok. We read a story about it and the acted it out with a doll she had (a man) and I showed her how the angel shut the lions mouths etc. She then said and then the lions ate him and tried to eat my Daniel. UGH! I explained that God said no but she had her lion put my Daniels head in her mouth and then said "he was good". RUDE!! LOL

Momo gets crafty

Reese had rodeo day at school. I wanted my mom to try and make her something and this is how it turned out. She looked VERY cute!

Temper Temper

Saige has a temper. A horrible one at that. Yesterday she had flip flops on. I tried to offer her another pair of shoes because I knew the flip flops wouldn't stay on and she would get upset. She stomped her feet and screamed so I decided we wouldn't fight that battle at the moment. I brought another pair of shoes just incase a meltdown happened. It did. She went nuts in the car trying to fix the flip flops. I asked her if she wanted another pair of shoes and she said no...hitting the window, biting herself and going basicly nuts. After a good five minutes and a possible hurt finger from biting it she said "I think I want the other shoes!"

Vent

This is a total vent.

We went to eat lunch at a local restaurant that has an open playroom. It isn't like McDonalds but they have books, a chalkboard and some toys. We got there and Reese went in and to play with the other kids (about 4 boys). This one child pushed her and I saw the whole thing. She didn't fall or anything like that but her feelings were very very hurt. She looked at me and her lip started shaking (like about to cry) and I told her she was ok and to please tell the boy not to push her. The group of moms sitting right there heard me. I was one table away and we were the only ones in the restaurant. The moms looked at me and NOT ONE PERSON looked at their child, make sure their child wasn't the one pushing NOTHING! I was so mad. Reese then wouldn't go back in and said "that boy is mad at me." Shes so sensitive and wasn't going to mess with the bully again. I know that kids will be kids but parents should realize when their child is being a brat and do something about it. Blah!

Jealousy and kisses!

This one is all about Saige!

First off she gives the sweetest kisses EVER! She will ask you if you want a kiss on the cheek and then she touches her cheek to yours and then says "other side" and does the same thing to the other cheek. She doesn't actually kiss you or even touch her lips to your cheek but just has your cheek touch hers. It seriously melts our hearts!

Second, she has become the most jealous little thing ever. If Reese comes to sit with me Saige runs over, pushes her and says MY mommy!! The other day we were playing at the mall and this sweet little baby (maybe 2 years old?) came and sat by me. I think she wanted to play with Saige but Saige was afraid she was too close to me. She nearly took this poor baby out. (the mother saw no part of this as she was sitting talking on her cell phone not noticing that her daughter was nearly sitting on my lap!!!!) But Saige threw herself at the girl and pushed her and screams MY mommy! Its constant-all day! If Reese is hurt or needs a hug Saige gets upset and wants one too. If you ask her who the baby is she says ME!!! She loves being my baby haha. I'm glad that Aaron and I have decided we're not having another baby. I don't think Saige could handle it. ha

Dad and Donut Day

Reese had dad and donut day! They had orange juice, donuts and sang a song. The kiddos gave their dads a picture frame they made (its SO sweet!!!) Reese's teacher informed Aaron that Reese and another little girl play animals 24/7. That they are constantly pretending to be puppies, kittens, lions etc. She said sometimes she has a hard time getting them to come back to reality. :) I'm glad she found a friend who shares her animal obsession.
