Preschool

We went to meet the teacher on Monday. When we walked in she grabbed my hand tighter. Aaron was with us so he took her to the kitchen center to play while I filled out some paper work. She soon relaxed and was playing with the other girls. She quickly found the Sleeping Beauty dress. She was very excited to wear it again. I had told her that her teachers go by their first names. We practiced and practiced and of course when we get there they go by their LAST names. UGH!!!!


The big day finally came and Reese was all dressed. I bought her some fancy new shoes and she was dying to wear them. I had picked out her dress, socks, shoes, hair bows etc so it would be ready. She threw the biggest fit because she wanted to wear the fancy new shoes. She said NO NO I need to wear my fancy fancy shoes. I can't believe we are already there where she tells me what SHE wants to wear. I thought we had a few years before that would start LOL!! She went right into her room and started playing. When I picked her up she was all smiles. I have to say that it was very odd just hanging out with Saige today. Our lives really revolve around Reese~her activities, what she wants to do, eat, watch etc. And not having her around was like missing a leg or something. Saige and I survived and I know this one on one time will be good for her.

Row Row Row Your Boat

Saige LOVES this song more than any other. If you ask her to sing a song she will say "row row" while doing her hands in motion. If you choose another song she will say NO NO :) Tonight I was about to get the girls out of their bath and had let the water out when Saige started saying row row so I grabbed the camera and was able to record it. Here it is...

A few stories

I've been so busy that updating is getting harder (sorry Nana)

Today I was measuring the girls rooms trying to decide if they could ever share a room with two small twin beds. (the answer is no) But as I was doing this Saige was playing in Reese's room. She likes to get Reese's shoes out and put them on. We keep them in her bottom dresser drawer. Well I was in Saiges room so not paying attention to what she was doing. It got REALLY quiet...ya know TOO quiet so I went in and she was standing in Reese's bottom drawer and all the shoes were thrown out. She pointed down and said NO NO NO NO and I looked down to see POOP! She pooped in Reese's drawer. It ran down her leg and in the drawer. It was soooooooooooooo gross. I told her it was ok and cleaned her up and then cleaned the drawer up. As I was doing that I was seriously thinking to myself that I never thought this was something I'd have to do. Oh the surprises of motherhood!





Reese is also in FULL ON pretend mode. She has little conversations with her dolls and bath toys. They talk to each other and sometimes its hard to get her attention. I love it.


Last night Aaron brought home a sonic blast. He didn't announce it and I didn't mention it but Reese saw the container it was in and knew it was ice cream. She was all cleaned up (after baths) and was snuggling with me on the couch and she flew off the couch and said ICE CREAM ICE CREAM. I have never seen anyone move that fast for ice cream. Then tonight she said "mommy is daddy bringing me more ice cream?" So I said yes, maybe and she said "I sure do like strawberry" We had to make a phone call to fill that request! She was very happy about it too :)

We went to a photo party with homeshade photography this past Sunday. It was so much fun. We had a 30 min time slot and are going to get 1 8x10 and 2 5x7s for 40.00. She provided the clothes and bows for us to wear and then brought the backdrop and flooring. I haven't seen the pictures yet but this is a "sneak peek" of 2 she sent me. Reese of course sat very still and was a little hard to get a smile out of. Saige was the one running wild and trying to take the lights down :) I really really wanted one of them together but I'm not sure if we were able to. Saige wouldn't really sit long enough for us to try. Heres the ones I have so far of the girls. We can't wait to see the rest!

First haircut

After 2 years and 10 months Reese finally got her very first haircut. Aaron and I took the girls to the mall and we stopped by visible changes (and they really aren't that expensive) and Jenny cut her hair. Reese sat very still and watched. She did great. They gave us a special card and a lock of her hair to keep and Reese got a sucker as well! Heres some shots of her haircut (they didnt take much off...just shaped it some)

Summer fun crafts

We did a really fun craft I got from another blog. First we poured water into the ice tray and then I let Reese put food coloring drops into each cube. She had fun seeing how colors are mixed. She would say "it changed it changed" then I cut up some straws and she dropped one into each one. We put it in the freezer and this is what we got! :) She was able to "paint" with the ice. Saige thought it was a popsicle and kept saying "pop pop" but it was fun summer outside activity. The girls also thought it was fun to "paint" themselves.
