We went to the mall to see Santa. I literally looked at every store you could think of for Christmas dresses. I was being abnormally picky. I wanted something fun, not TOOOOO christmasy, matching but not exact. Picky right? We went into one last store and I found it. It was literally an all day event.
Last year we went to Bass Pro Shop and got the free Santa picture. It was great but it wasn't as good as my previous years. And these Santa pictures were something I have started to treasure. I think I almost cried looking at the "early" years of a couple. Total Sap! But it's amazing how fast life just flies by. So I decided to throw down 25.00 or whatever they cost for a good picture so in ten years I'll look back and cry. ha!
We got up very early and beat the crowd at the mall. Aaron always thinks I'm crazy trying to do it so early but when we beat the line and got out of the mall before a big rush he knew I was smart. The Santa picture was an amazing success this year! Not only did my girls look super sweet, Saige smiled. No crying this year. Bless her heart! I think she even told him what she wanted. Such progress! Only took us three years :)
Reese joined girl scouts this year and she was invited to attend a small performance of the Nutcracker. It was a child friendly performance and the kids got to meet the actors, which was a big hit for everyone. Reese really enjoyed watching the dancers and I enjoyed being with my sweet girl one on one.
And we finished off our weekend with a neighborhood Christmas Party. Our neighborhood always does a big Christmas celebration with games, Santa, Christmas light ride, treats and games. We have never been able to make it but this year we could. It was fun. We are thankful we live in such a fun neighborhood.
