But when we got out of the car the size of the ocean must of been a bit overwhelming. She instantly HID behind our car and started to cry. We just left her there to warm up to the idea of the beach and she finally came closer.
The beach was covered in seaweed. And then behind/below the seaweed was a ?ditch? of water. Ya know, the kind with the yucky stuff you don't normally want your child playing in. Well thats were Reese stayed the entire time. She did enjoy building sand castles, finding seashells and eventually she walked over and literally put her TOES in the ocean. She did not like the waves coming in and out and later told us the ocean was trying to take her away. I showed her how to write in the sand too. We fed the seagulls some crackers. She acted like they were scaring her but they weren't AT ALL! She kept throwing crackers closer and closer so they would come to her and she was smiling the whole time saying "shoo birds". She looked at me and one point and said "I really love the beach mommy don't you". So, I guess she had fun in her own way.
Saiges trip to the beach was totally different than Reese's. True to form she went right for it. We kept having to watch her VERY closely because she would just run into the ocean without either one of us. NO fear at all. She loved having the waves on her. The water would knock her right in the face and she'd say "do it again do it again" She wasn't out of the water much. I'm not a big water fan (or our water anyway because you can't see anything) so Aaron stayed in the water with her while I did the other stuff with Reese. One time Aaron said she was walking and a wave took her under water a little. I'm glad I didn't see that. :)
But heres a sweet one of the girls together.
