And Saige...our little Saige :) She is loud, active and strong willed. We tried story time again this week and Saige runs up to other child and pokes them in the eye screaming EYE or digs in peoples bag for sippy cups or bottles (I don't understand why moms are leaving their bags unattended either grrr) She will knock a child out of their chair so she can have it or throw a puzzle on the floor that another child was looking at. She will not sit and listen to the stories. When we go to the store she wiggles out of the safety belt and stands up. Why must everything be a challenage with her.
Today we tried "Family Gymboree". Sounds fun right? WRONG!!!!!!!! There were WAY WAY WAY too many kiddos in the class. There were babies and big kids. It was nuts. Reese wanted to go one way and Saige the other. Saige has no concept of what is safe or taking turns so she needed more attention but that meant Reese was being left out. I kept trying to get them to do the activities together but Saige would throw herself back on the mat and cry. Moms were giving me dirty looks and I just bout flipped one off in a moment of frustration. That would of be interesting right?! When we sang the goodbye song I was all to happy to finally leave. I think we'll stick to less crowded, less structured activites for a while. Chick fila play area anyone? :)
Anyway, this is long winded but my point is that I have two very different children. God gave me these babies and gave them each their own personality. It is my job as a mom to find a way to parent each one. Its just really hard sometimes.
